This wonderfully cooling gel with Aloe Vera helps to calm and soothe the skin. We have added Witch hazel and Seaweed to increase the effectiveness of this soothing gel. 

Seaweed extracts not only smooth and soften the skin, but also contain calcium alginate which has been believed to be instrumental in improving the healing time of burns.

 

Apply the gel liberally several times a day after sunburn, or just when you need to cool your skin and body down! You might find it even more effective if you keep the gel in the fridge - although it will work well when kept at room temperature. We found Amphora's After Sun Cooling Gel far more effective in reducing redness after sun burn (if left on the skin for 8 hours) than many well known branded and much more expensive lotions.

A study found that Aloe Vera Gel contains small-molecular-weight immunomodulators that restore skin damaged by UVB rays (International Journal of Immunopharmacology, 1999, vol.21, no.5).
